April 6th, 2023 ISS solar transit

Post by AstroBees »

04-06-2023 ISS Solar Transit
Shot from hwy93 just north of Coyote Springs, NV.
Stacked with AutoStakkert 3.0!, Processed with ImPPG, and colorized in Photoshop.

Lunt 80mm Double-Stack, ZWO1600mm shooting cropped at 1750x1750 @ 48fps, iOptron ZEQ25GT mount, Hinode Solar Guider.
I realize the sun is a little "extra crispy". that was my attempt to sharpen the ISS.

Image

I also made a BTS video of the setup and capture of the transit. I really would love for someone knowledgeable about the Lunt pressure tuner system to watch this video and tell me if my information is accurate. I made the video mainly for friends and family that don't have a clue what it takes to capture images like this so I could tell them a bag of lies and they wouldn't know any better. But I'd feel better learning if what I say about the pressure tuners is correct. Also, I'm new to the double-stack system so any tips and tricks would be much appreciated.

Lunt 80mm Ha single stack with a ZWO 1600mm cooled camera and iOptron Z25EQ mount.

Superb.

I do not look at the sky with the eyes of an astronomer, but of a person looking for the beauty of nature.

Really nice video. I listened with headphones and it seemed like the voices were in one ear and the music in the other, which was a little disconcerting. Better if the sound is mixed a bit. I'd loved to have seen a very slowed down and zoomed in version of the transit.
