a time not to long ago before PST

Post by highfnum »

looking at sun with tilter filter and SPV
These devices work well visually but not so much with standard astro cameras

tilter is like thousand oaks HAU
but skybender filter tilter is more accurate.

tried a camera phone shot (proms did show visually much better)

SPV is solar prom viewer based on DAVIDG design. it like a coronagraph with 1nm Ha filter

Well done for trying to get the iPhone shot. I have a Baader Prominence filter, it is excellent for visual but a nightmare to image with :)
