5-20-23. Quick 8x32 WLC.

Post by DeepSolar64 »

Session time is from 14:55 until 15:00 UTC. The skies are overcast with thinner clouds among thicker ones that allow a view. The temperature is 67F ( 19.4C ). I could see this thin patch in the clouds approaching while loading the car and quickly grabbed the 'noculars!

I can see an easy string of spots in the NE quadrant that are AR13311 and AR13313. The NW Quadrant shows another collection of spots that is the AR13302-05-08 complex. AR13301 cannot be seen. It's on the limb. During times of the thinnest clouds I can easily see the faculae of AR13305!!

The SE Quadrant shows the large and very easy spot of AR13310. I see nothing in the SW Quadrant.

Off to Lowndesville S.C. I go. My SMII60 and Orion70 will accompany me but whether they will be used will depend on the persistent cloudiness.

Activity is looking good James. I did some visual with the DS50 earlier and there was lots to see. The sunoculars saved the day again! Glad you got at least a quick view in.

Mark,
I am glad you got an Ha view in. Clouds have been clobbering me lately. I have been fighting back with the SUNoculars and Slooh but they are certainly reducing the thoroughness of my views.
