Very interesting thread and beautiful photos.

I do not look at the sky with the eyes of an astronomer, but of a person looking for the beauty of nature.

Aaron,
You are having better luck than I have been and your images look good. Clouds have been slaughtering me lately and the 23rd doesn't look good either. Those Astro-Tech scopes look familiar and they are a nice looking solar setup. All you need under them is fuzzy Titus to set them off!

You are welcome, Aaron.

I am under clouds today and observing is white light only and is very hit and miss. That spot is big! Even at only 41x I can see mottling in it's penumbra and a light bridge.

I need to buy a second wedge for my AT72EDII. It shares a wedge with my C102 and often I'll just grab the Orion70 before removing the wedge from the C102 to place on the AT72EDII. I would certainly use the Astro-Tech more if it had its own wedge.

Titus the Cat could be your official model or mascot for your solar observing program. Cats do make good observing company at the scopes.
