Hi

Nice.

Luckily saw the loops whilst doing ERF testing on my Combo Quark.

Cheers. Andrew.

CaK proms look so gauzy-thin.

Nice work!

Thanks. The loops were very faint and I almost missed them while scanning the disc. I had to adjust the tilt to see them better. Hopefully conditions will be better this week so I can do more testing.

I tried a few barlows and the Celestron Luminos 2.5x appears to have decent correction in Cak.

These are superb, Alan ! My favorites are the first and third, but they are all very good. What filter are you using for this ?

I used Chroma .1 + Alluxa .1 and EO 394/10 for the blocker. I tried a few filters for the blocker but this appears to be the best for proms. I have other blockers for surface. I tried a TS and QS with my lunt Cak filters but couldn't see a clear difference. I want to retest this week (if weather permits)

I was pretty excited to see it. I wanted to do an animation but the clouds wouldnt allow it.

These are excellent Alan! How long have you been using this CaK filter setup?

About 6 months. The weather last winter really delayed testing. I tested it with a few options for blocking filters and Cak filters. It took time to find a workflow for capturing proms and adjusting the tilt in the skybender. I also got distracted by improving my double stacked Ha set up (Quantum and Lunt 40)
