BBMF Spitfire Flypast , Bardwell , Suffolk. 28th May 2023.

Post by steveward53 »

The annual car show in the village that my grandparents lived in was graced by a flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire this afternoon and I was there to catch part of it ...

The roar of a 27 litre V-12 coming in hard and low over the trees never fails to raise the hairs on your arms .... :D

One taster here and the rest over on my Flickr album ... ;)

Nice photo, Steve.
I had a similar experience.
A Lancaster bomber flew right over my house yesterday, no doubt heading to an air show. We were sitting in the garden at the time. It raised hairs and brought a respectful tear.
