Close up of AR 3315 taken yesterday.

Full disc taken this afternoon with Canon 600D DSLR. Is what I have circled an Ellerman bomb or a flare?

Fantastic images :bow :hamster:

If you have a timestamp you can check with GOES X-ray to see if there was a flare at that time. My guess would be that it is a penumbral bright point though.

Great images for sure. And congratulations on your observation, whatever it turns out to be. Fact is you were able to note something in your images and that is a skill in itself. BravO!
