Also ; as the quality of the sky allowed it I tried to image the prominence in different wavalenghs..
I added the colors in order to give the same hue that I saw in the eyepiece...

The Helium line was rather faint ; the H beta was quite briliant and well defined. And the H delta was rather hard to image and a bit ghostly but still visible..

PS : notice the varying degree of definition increasing when the wavelengh shortens.

Terrific comparison of the prom in the different lines. It looks like Hbeta is a good one for proms!

thanks very much :) but when you see it live you realize how strong the emission in H alpha is : its so much briliant!! no wonder its the line used most frequently.

how did you find(identify) H-delta

its in the blue region of the spectrum and the prominence is also pretty bright so you cant miss it ;) but try first with a slit not too wide to find the reversal of the line .
