Mewlon 250 Halpha firt light / 28 May 2023
Hi,
Here is the first Ha light image of the Mewlon 250.
Everything is not finely tuned yet. The electric focusing controling the secondary miror is a nightmare. If anyone knows how to change the original DC motor for a stepper moteur, this would be great !
In any case, the resolution improves compared to the C8 EdgeHD.

Amazing photos. It can be seen that the Mewlon is a really high-quality device and the vision conditions must also be excellent. Such H-a details are not seen here very often.
This is every sun lover's dream come true.
Congratulations.

Fantastic resolution with the Mewlon 250. I sold mine a few years ago...

Congrats to the first light Ha images! Aperture rules.
A 290mm Baader D-ERF, thats interesting. Nice that they made it.

Re: Mewlon 250 Halpha firt light / 28 May 2023
How long does Mewlon temper and what is the temperature stability when working in the sun? Is the setting stable or does it require frequent refocusing?

Re: Mewlon 250 Halpha firt light / 28 May 2023
Thanks to all !
For some reason, for solar observation (i.e. in the morning from 9:00 to about 13:00). The focus position is rather stable. This was a really good surprise.
Before observation, the OTA is stored in a garage attached to my house. There the temperature is very close to ambiant external temperature.
This was indeed a possible issue. I also use the Mewlon 250 for Venus observation in the late afternoon. In that situation, I have fast variations of focus position.

Indeed, it was very difficult to get one. I understand they are very difficult to make.
