It's nice to see another do a detailed visual report. I feel not so alone!! :-) You always specialize in prominences and do so well in describing them.

Thanks Andrew!!

Hi

The proms I see are generally a bit more fine detailed than Gong and even Stuart as today.

When I first used the Chromo it was at low FNo and not so good.

When I went to F40 it was much better.

I am now looking to see more disk details.

Been using a rotating polariser on the 40mm Celestron which helps.
Unfortunately its somewhere under the deck at this minute. I forgot the glass was held in by one of my Chinese filters repurposed as 20mm stops for PST and Quark mods.

I was using the 80mm F15 just. With 3x VK TE at F45. In the sweet spot I could see filaments above the big double prom and from the spot.

I could just see the big filament at the top.

I am stuck with MK1 eye image processing. I assume edge filaments have bee processed up.

Currently scanning Chromo settings for the F15.

Mak180 has a new SH focuser. So getting PST mod out again. Was having a play on the Visac 'F10' with the bits. Balance issue with bino-viewers but I noticed a longer dovetail bar on my hall little telescopes shelves. Also the Ioptron is complaining about Dec weight now with the Mak. One handset down but 2 Ioptrons so not an issue yet.

Cheers. Andrew.
