8th Feb. SE Australia..
There is a nice large sunspot group AR3576 that is currently travelling across the Sun's disc (E to W). I measured it this morning at approx. 145,000 km across x 72,400 wide. The first and second images shows it and the other sunspots at 540 nm. The third image shows the eastern sector of the Sun and AR3576 at H alpha (656 nm) wavelength. All images are single exposures with a Canon 550d. Thanks for viewing.

Re: 8th Feb Large sunspot
AR13576 does not look to have changed much since I imaged it in K-Line this morning.
Nice work!

Re: 8th Feb Large sunspot
Nice work John. They are really good white light images and clearly shows just how big it really is. As James said it does not look to have changed a lot in the HA image.

Re: 8th Feb Large sunspot
Please note, the sunspot images were taken at 540 nm not WL (which uses the whole visible spectrum).
Thanks.
Thanks.
