Exposure montage

Post by AstroBees »

Hopefully this helps someone out there that is using a DSLR or Mirrorless type camera and planning to image the eclipse.

These exposures are based on MY system using a Canon 5DM2 and shooting with a Canon 600mm f/4 lens. I shot the 2017 eclipse keeping my ISO and f/stop set to ISO200 and f/5.6. I only adjusted shutter speed during the eclipse. This montage was created from screengrabs from the Windows file manager so there have been no adjustments. The small insert is from the metadata on the image just to confirm what I wrote in the text below center. Adjust accordingly to your ISO and F/stop settings.

Great minds think alike. This is exactly the method I used in 2017 with my Canon 7D
