Stuart, many thanks for doing this, I really enjoyed it. I have never really understood the camera pixel, over and under sampling lark before and it made it much clearer.

Do you have a link to the calculator tools that you could add to this thread?

I did look through the excellent slides and have one question about what the definition is for "critical sampling". I saw on some of the slides a factor of 3 (pages 17-19; and I know for other people critical sampling is defined with a Nyquist criteria of a factor of 2. Did you take a view on what constitutes under, over and critical sampling?
