X2.9-class flare from 15 May 2024

Post by Andy Devey »

Hi Guys,

I was lucky to go out and film this event on the south east limb from a then unnamed region which is now AR3685. It was windy and the seeing was initially really poor but I am glad that I had a go at it. Some very nice loop structures. Sequence from 15:36 to 17:06UT.

Andy!
This is an awesome Gif image! I was visually observing these coronal loops at this time and they closely parallel what I saw. One thing I like about a good animation is they speed up what can be visually be seen over an amount of time.
