Big prom timelapse and solar guiding

Post by AndreaGirones »

Woohoo solar guiding has arrivied and this was my first experiment. I have so much computer automation now I just need a mini remote computer so I can image from under my shady porch!!.
This was only a hour's worth of data as I crashed the program doing stupid things. So much data from today to look over...
This large prominence on the south west limb of the sun was a very active one,
This timelapse is spend up from a hour or so of data gathering to a few seconds.
Imaged from my Ottawa backyard May 19th 2024 with a Quarks Chromosphere solar filter, the Starfield optics 102ED and the ASI 174MM Camera with solar PHD guiding. Autostakkert Imppg and Pixinsight and Premiere pro

Wow!! this is phenomenal :bow :bow :movie

The only thing I would avoid though is the reverse, after a while I couldn't work out where the flow of material was going and I got lost.
