I could see five active regions using the SUNoculars. All in the southern hemisphere. AR13686 shows itself in the SE quadrant as a single spot. Just to the SW of AR13686 and forming a complex with it is AR13685. I can see it as two easy spots with the easternmost spot being the largest. Three close together spots lie between and just north of the main pair of AR13685. Even though the lake was calm the slight movement of the boat made this hard to see. I certainly had to stay still. Fortunately the wind was nearly calm. AR13684 lies on the CLM with an easy lead spot and a couple of more difficult followers. To the west in the SW quadrant I could see the lead spot of AR13679 quite easily. I could difficultly see, really not much more than hint the pore line to the SE of the lead spot. The boat movement made it impossible to see them clearly. To the SW of AR13679 I could see a single spot belonging to AR13674. It was not difficult. I did not see AR13683 near the SW limb. A steadier view might have made it visible. It is what it is.
In a kayak on a lake might not be the best solar observing site but is certainly an unusual one. Later I caught three fish. Two good sized.

The small device next to the SUNoculars is a portable fish finder sonar unit. The transducer is off the right bow of the kayak. And it does work!
