Detached prom from last day is now tethered (May24, 2024)

Post by gabrieli »

The prom that was detached last day became reattached since then. I used a 4X Televue and Quark Combo chromosphere on a Stellarvue127 for this image on a Player One 533SQ camera. Also, I've noticed that under some conditions in processing, a weird "bathroom tile" array appears on the image most noticeable when there is a white area on the image. It is easy to suppress but it doesn't look like anything I've seen before. Any guesses?

Nice shots, not sure what to suggest about the tiling...

Great shot Lou! I’m thinking that is a surge prom that is actually in front of the floating prom rather than an attachment but I do believe there is an attachment off to the right following that thin stream of plasma coming from the floating prom.
