Very Brief Saturday Sunshine 25th May
The clear skies on saturday that were forecast really didn't materialise, I was sat under cloud most of the day. There were some gaps, but sadly meteoblues seeing prediction of 2" was accurate, so things were a little soft. Still despite less than ideal conditions they are better than todays will be as it's raining this morning. Hope you get better skies than me!

Beautiful captures in the gaps, Mark. At least you got few good images.

Look how bright 3691 (AKA returning 3663) is on the eastern limb! Definitely worth the patience to get these shots.

Re: Very Brief Saturday Sunshine 25th May
The eyepiece holder was loose which became obvious when I was using it upside down to manipulate the position of the ghost. It was still under warranty with FLO so they arranged collection immediately and checked it out. They sent it to Bresser who concluded it needed a replacement eyepiece holder which they've ordered and will return when it's been fitted. I find the service and communication from FLO First Light Optics is always first class.marktownley wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 10:45 amDid you send it back to the menders?nicspenceryork wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 10:42 am Gorgeous images and lovely to see 3685 in CaK whilst my CaK 1200 is in hospital!

That's always been my experience with FLO too. Glad it's getting sorted.nicspenceryork wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 10:53 amThe eyepiece holder was loose which became obvious when I was using it upside down to manipulate the position of the ghost.
