Comet C2023 A3 Tsuchinsan-ATLAS

Post by Wyvern »

Some images from my latest "new best friend", the S50 Seestar.

Currently bumbling through Virgo and into Leo on its way to perihelion in late Sept this year, is C2023 A3 Tsuchinsan-ATLAS. Still hearing "rumours" that it's on track to be a naked eye object following perihelion for us Northern Hemisphere observers come mid October, when it reappears in the Western sky again in Virgo. It will then quickly track through Serpens and Ophiuchus, heading towards Altair the brightest star in Aquila.

Fingers crossed eh people!!!

Remember though..... I've heard this many times and it's so, so true. Comets are like cats. They both have tails and they both do what they want!!

Regards, Les
